a day well spent...

and so yesterday, I spent it doing civilian-like things and felt human again.

I went down to Funan IT Mall in the afternoon to buy Metal Gear Ac!d for my PSP at this really cool shop called Gamescore. It's a great game; really really challenging, but very fun and intuitive nonetheless. Incidentally, my PSP has a few dead pixels, or so I think they are. this really pisses me off. thankfully, the dead pixels are only visible on very dark screenshots etc. bugger!!!

After buying my game, I went down to Orchard to meet Emmanuel. We had fish n chips at this "chippy" store at Far East Plaza. It was really tasty. Emmanuel got himself a new haircut, and after which, we walked around and did some shopping. We probably walked the entire Orchard/Scotts stretch twice over! Anyway, I bought myself a really cool Famous Stars & Stripes belt, and a badass cassette tape buckle for a grand total of S$89. Huge damage, but well worth it...until I saw some ugly chick wearing a pink version of my belt. Thank goodness I have a dope buckle!

I FINALLY got myself a new wallet. I've been wallet-less for the past four months. Was searching for a suitably nice wallet, and by chance, i found it yesterday at the same store I got my belt/buckle from: GALLERY at Pacific Plaza. It's a neat Zoo York black leather one. It's simple, has nice print and it's perfect...sorta.

At night, Emmanuel gave me a birthday treat (my birthday's on May 2nd) at this fantastic Northern Indian restaurant at Serangoon Rd Little India. It's serves a mean chicken tikka. We order waaaay too much bread and by the end of the meal, we were stuffed and felt kinda sick. but the food was EXCELLENT! I'm gonna bring my family there one of these days.

After dinner, we bought some toiletries at Mustapha Centre where we braved rioutous crowds, after which, Emmanuel headed down to meet his poly friends at some pub called Forbidden City, while I headed home, tired as I was.

All in all, a day well spent. My only regret is that i didn't buy a book at Borders.
